These photographs are extra special to me because they were taken at my dad's place in Mississippi. I grew up playing in the clay on the creek banks, riding four-wheelers on the Buffalo River, crawfish boils every Easter, fishing, and so much more. The country air is so fresh and I swear the tap water tastes 10x better even pouring through a rusty faucet.

The weather was cold and rainy, and the fog added and extra layer of mystery that was just what I needed to capture the mood of a slow day at "The Camp." A tornado knocked the electricity out the night before, so dad was busy making stove-top drip coffee while me and Wade explored outdoors. The dog was swimming through the pond and chasing birds, and my husband had just come in from his morning hunt.
